Proper Dresser Use
HOW TO TRUE WHEELS
- Truing restores proper shape of wheel
- Proper position shown in picture above
- Move tool rest back to allow room for dresser feet
- Hook dresser feet over tool rest
- Raise handle to bring cutter wheels firmly in contact with grinding wheel.
- If sparks appear press harder on dresser
- Traverse cutters back and forth across wheel
HOW TO DRESS WHEELS
- Dressing cleans away foreign particles and exposes sharp new cutting edges
- Make sure tool rest is proper distance from wheel as for normal use
- Place cutter head on tool rest
- Firmly push dresser into grinding wheel
- If sparking occurs, press harder on dresser
- Traverse cutters back and forth across wheel
- Dressing only takes a few seconds
